Open to all

In Iyengar Yoga there is a focus on alignment, precision and careful sequencing of poses and the use of props to support each student appropriate to their ability.

It’s founder yoga (B.K.S Iyengar) believed “yoga is for everyone” -  all ages, all ability and all walks of life are welcome and will benefit from the practice.

Shiara brings a calmness and serenity to her classes  and supports her students to build the strength and flexibility, both physically and mentally, to face the challenges that life throws at you in a positive way.

Not suitable for women who are up to 12 weeks pregnant or those who are pregnant and not familiar with yoga modifications.

Meet the teacher

Shiara Uchino

Originally from Japan, Shiara has been practising yoga for over 20 years and is a Level 1 Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Her yoga journey started when she signed up to do pregnancy yoga.

The precision and the detailed approach and understanding of each posture in Iyengar yoga struck a chord with her, not just to to keep her physical well-being in check but also to calm and be grounded and strike the right work/life balance.

Shiara brings a calmness and serenity to her teaching.
